About me


I am an experienced manager and leader in social media marketing with 10+ years of education and experience working on various programs involving crafting brand voice, external messaging, and executing cross-functional and integrated campaigns. I am dedicated to growing brand awareness through thoughtful and strategic storytelling, influencer and employee advocacy, and other data-driven, social media strategies.

My career:

In my social media career, I have launched many successful programs including developing and launching a global social media strategy, community management and employee advocacy programs, influencer partnerships, brand and style guidelines, a corporate-wide social media policy, and more. I have been directly involved in many projects including executive communication strategy, crisis planning and action, editorial councils and master planning documents, diversity/inclusion and employee resource group planning, people/culture social presence, and more. I have excelled in coursework for DE&I, crisis communication, policy making, organizational conflict management, communication in science and tech, brand and product marketing, interpersonal communication, and more.

My education:

While working full-time, I was able to successfully pursue and graduate with my Masters in Communication from North Carolina State University. During my time in the Masters Program, I took courses in brand and product marketing, communication campaigns, crisis communication, interpersonal communication, organizational conflict management, and communication and technology.

In order to graduate, I successfully completed and defended three comprehensive exams including:

  • Theory: Social Penetration Theory, Relational Framing Theory, Communication Theory of Identity in relation to Social Media Management

  • Methods: A Mixed-Methods Approach to Understanding Identity Gaps for Working Mothers

  • Applications: Developing ERGs for an Organization

I completed my Bachelors of Communication at North Carolina State as well, where I became an expert in all things Media Communication (media history and theory, media writing, public speaking, technology in society and culture, and more).
