Building executives presence online.

An executive social media program should accomplish a few things. First, it is crucial you position your executives as thought leaders in your space. Second, they should be human. Have them share their interests, passions, and build talk tracks for them on social media that help their audience understand who they are and what they believe.

Building a personal brand:

  • Make sure your profile is up to date

A strong LinkedIn profile includes location, industry, updated photo and banner, job title, education, skills (5+), and an about me/summary.

  • Find a focus

If you want to start creating content to bolster your personal brand, having content that showcases your expertise can help build rapport and trust with your follower base. Keep content positive, thought-provoking, and engaging. Use storytelling to get your point across. Keep your voice and imagery consistent. Most importantly - have fun and be human!

  • Pick your cadence

Target posting cadence is 3-5x a week. Include a mixture of company-centric and “personal branding” content.

  • Follow and support other content creators/thought leaders

Seeing what others are posting can ignite your own creativity when it comes to storytelling on social media. Learn from them. See what they post, how often they post, and how they engage with their audience. Engage with content you find impactful.

  • HAVE FUN and enjoy the ride!

Have fun along the way! Learn things about yourself, about your followers, develop new connections, and see where this journey in finding your personal brand can take you!
